I’ll take a beach if it's a tropical beach -- clean water and clean sand, like
I played the piano and I loved it...until I went to lessons and then I hated it.
I love character-driven film, I love independent film.
I love going to the movies and being brought into another world for a few hours. That's something I've always wanted to pursue. It would be incredible if we had a hiatus, because that would be the ultimate for me -- to do both.
I took a yoga class and I adored it. I’ve done yoga in bigger classes-like 25-30 people-but this class had nine people in a small studio.
I have gone to school for massage therapy. I love the healing arts.
Day at the spa. Get a massage, maybe a scrub. But don’t touch my toes. I don’t want a pedicure, and I don’t want a facial.
Oh, I love surprises. Well, good surprises (laughs). It has to be a good one.
Mac or Cheese?
I thought they go together! Mac because I don’t eat dairy.
Sunset. I think it’s a time to reflect about your day and have some stillness. And it’s romantic.
Beach or Pool?
I’m going to have to say beach because it’s more beautiful. But you get sand in those places where you don’t want sand (laughs). So, maybe pool!
Mountain Climbing or Mall Shopping?
Mountain climbing. I used to do it with my family, and it was fun.
To me, that’s what yoga is about-taking time to focus on yourself, because we don’t do that. In this fast-paced world of ours, we put ourselves last. It’s nice to take an hour or what have you and do nothing else-just breathe.
I always found that I was happiest when I was either singing or dancing or acting.
Every time I went to a play, I would find myself longing to be on the stage. I felt that I was missing something important for me.
Q: On what primetime series would you like to guest star?
A: Ally McBeal because it's so quirky and fun and it's got your combination of serious and comedy. It seems like it would be such a ball to work on and the writing is so great. Everyone used to say [I reminded them of Calista Flockhart] when it first came out and I was bouncing around between auditions. They'd say, 'Oh my god, you're just like Ally McBeal.' I heard it all the time.
Q: Did you always want to be an actress?
A: You know, I always had the desire. Um, I didn't know if I was going allowed to do it. I know that sounds weird, but I was such a good girl. I wanted to please my parents and my family and I didn't think it was a responsible choice to make in life. That's what thought they would think. So when I was in college, I was like "I have to do this. I absolutely have to do this." I didn't want to go on with the rest of my life always wondering "what if." So, I had to do it. It was always burning in there.
I used to watch all the Ch. 7 (ABC) soaps on the tube.
Q: If you could go anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?
A: To the afterlife. I want to know what it is really like and get some questions answered.
I have eclectic tastes in music. It depends on the mood I am in as to what I listen to.
I try not to overeat. I take walks and do light exercise.
